PEPP Board Chair Roger Brandvold Resigns; Interim Chair Appointed
Regina, Saskatchewan
Plannera Pensions & Benefits has announced that Roger Brandvold has stepped down as Chair of the Public Employees Pension Board (PEPB), effective October 1, 2025.
During his time as Chair, Roger guided the Board through several major initiatives, including the transition from the Public Employees’ Benefits Agency to Plannera and the launch of the Lifetime Pension option for members. Under his leadership, the Public Employees Pension Plan (PEPP) grew from approximately 71,000 members to more than 75,000, with assets under management increasing by over $2 billion.
The Board also completed a strategic investment review, modernized service standards, launched a member and asset retention strategy, and expanded PEPP’s investment portfolio to include more private market opportunities.
“Roger’s steady leadership and collaborative approach have left a lasting impact on both the Board and the members we serve,” said Jeremy Phillips, CEO of Plannera. “We are deeply grateful for his years of service and dedication.”
Vice-Chair Christine Virostek will serve as interim Chair while the Board conducts a search for a new Chair, expected to be completed in early 2026.
