Fee Increases

From time to time the cost to manage the daily operations of the Plan increase. When an increase occurs you will receive advance notification.

Notice regarding upcoming fee increase

Canadian Western Trust (CWT) currently provides trustee and custodial services to the Public Employees Deferred Salary Leave Plan. Plannera – Benefits is responsible on behalf of CWT for updating and maintaining member files, processing withdrawals and preparing monthly Plannera reports and semi-annual member statements.

Effective January 1, 2025, Plannera – Benefits charges a minimum administration fee of $1,500.00 per quarter to the Plan. This fee will be allocated based upon active members for the quarter to arrive at the corresponding charge to each member account.

For example, as at December 31, 2024 there were 31 active plan members. Allocating the $1,500.00 administration fee results in a $48.39 (plus GST and PST) quarterly fee being charged to each member’s account.
